Gladbach confirm Xhaka offer as Arsenal move edges closer
The Bundesliga side have indicated that an interested party has made a move for the Swiss midfielder, with the Gunners leading the race
Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed that they have received an offer for Granit Xhaka and Goal understands that Arsenal are the club making the bid
The Bundesliga side have confirmed that they have recived an offer for the midfielder, coming after Goal revealed that that Xhaka had agreed personal terms with the north London giants.
Xhaka, 23, is a Swiss international midfielder who has also attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City and Juventus, with Emirates Stadium said to be his preferred destination.
And a post on Gladbach's official website indicated that the club had recieved an offer for the midfielder. 
"Sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that there has been a specific offer for the Swiss midfielder," the post read. "An agreement with the interested club is still pending."
A fee in the region of €30 million has been earmarked for the highly-rated midfielder, with Arsenal's transfer negotiater Dick Law putting a deal on the table which will include add-ons and performance related bonuses.
