Barcelona legend Xavi has named his all-time British eleven and revealed that Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney could have played for the Catalan giants.
The 34-year-old midfield maestro selected an ultimate British side which includes the likes of Paul Scholes, Paul Gascoigne and surprisingly John Terry, despite Xavi previously criticising Chelsea's style of play in the past.
Speaking to ShortList magazine, the Spainard also opted to put Southampton man Fraser Forster in goal after his dominant performances behind the sticks for Celtic against Barcelona in the Champions League.
"Barcelona have met Celtic four times in recent seasons, and every time Forster put in an incredible performance," he said.
"In the games we've played, he's made some of the best saves I have ever seen."
